Question: why is chocolate brown ?
chocolate, colour, diet, food, nutrition
Asked by orangesandpeaches to Cathal, Daphne, Darren, Jon, Katherine on 16 Mar 2012.
answered on 16 Mar 2012:
Chocolate is made from ground up cocoa beans, which turn brown in colour when they are dried. There are lots of chemicals involved in turning the bean brown, but one called “epicatechin” is particularly important.
