Ohm’s law is goverened by the equation V=IR where
V=Voltage
I = Current
R = Resistance. In electrical practice Voltage or V is always the power supply such as a battery or mains. V drives current through a circuit. Current or I flows through a circuit and can flow freely or can meet much resistance to flow and this is what R stands for. If a circuit has too much resistance not a lot of current can flow and vice versa.
