      I have discovered some new genes which are in the species of microalgae that I’m working on.

      I discover new stuff pretty much everyday. The tricky part of science is understanding what your new finding means and making sure it is reliable and reproducible (i.e. that it is not just the result of a mistake or random chance!)

      In the last couple of weeks I’ve discovered some great new materials that release silver slowly . As Darren says we’ve got to make sure the results are reproducible but it’s looking good.
