  Hello jackalex.
  I thought one of the materials we made a few months ago would be really good at getting copper atoms out of water. It wasn’t! I still think it should do but it’s taking a lot more experiments than I expected to figure out what was going on.
  I expected that a similar material would be really good at releasing silver atoms into water (silver can kill bacteria so its useful)…lucky this time – it did what I expected.
  So half the time the results are what I expect, half the time they aren’t. I think its more interesting when its not what I expected and I have to do more experiments to work out what is going on.
