Question: who first found micro-organisms

It was a Dutch scientist called Antony van Leeuwenhoek who lived in the 16th century. He made microscopes which enabled him to observe microorganisms such as bacteria. At that time, no one realised that tiny invisible microorganisms existed so he was the first person to observe and describe them.
