      Hello keigm001

Anger is a pretty strong emotion and it takes time and effort to learn to control it. There are lots of obvious things that can make us angry but when we’re angry without knowing why, that’s when people tell us we have anger problems. You may be angry because it’s really difficult and frustrating to deal with everything that’s going on everyday and that comes out as anger (usually at the wrong person). Bullying in primary school sounds awful, and it could be a reason but probably not the only one. Perhaps being angry keeps the bullies away now.
So I think you need to act like a scientist to figure out what makes you angry. The next time you feel yourself getting angry, try to stop and think about what is making you cross. Write it down. After you’ve done that a few times (lots of data to analyse!) you might be able to figure out why. You could also talk to a teacher about stuff that makes you angry and they might have some ideas.

Katherine makes a really good point: that it is almost impossible to understand how and why things happen for studying just one person.

To be sure there is a link between anger problems an bullying, we would need to collect lots of people who have been bullied and ask whether it is more common for them to have anger problems than those people who have not been bullied. If so, then we can make an association (but even then, we can’t say for sure one has caused the other).

But I agree, if you feel angry its a good idea to express yourself by writing it down. That might help you deal with it better.
